Airport to Corinth Direct Train
There is an hourly bus service from and to Athens with a bus stop next to the hotel. Duration 1h40'. The train service Athens to Patras and vice versa runs every two hours and stops just 500m from the hotel in the small picturesque local railway station of Melissi.
How to find us:
On your way to Athens, driving on the National road Korinthos-Patra, at the exit of Kiato. You drive through Kiato & on the Old National Road with direction to Xylokastro. The coastal way is beautiful as you drive near to the sea on your way to Melissi village. In the 4 km to the Village Melissi you will find in the right Hotel LIDO.

| MELISSI |
Our village has taken the name Melissi from the wild beehives that used to exist in the vicinity of the nowadays railway station. It is built in two levels Kato Melissi which is by the local road and the seaside and Ano Melissi from which someone can admire the spectacular view of the corinthian gulf.
In Melissi you can make all your necessary shopping from the traditional bakeries and mini-markets. In the area's fertile soil grow citrus fruit, olive trees, and vines from which good wine and virgin olive oil are produced.

The cosmopolitan town of Xylokastro is just 3.5km away, waiting to entertain you with its wild nightlife, charming beaches and famous pine forest next to the beach.
In Xylokastro you can find open air cinemas, sports facilities, a yacht marina, all sorts of shops as well as many night clubs, bars, restaurants and cafes. |

| ZIRIA MOUNTAINS |
The exceptionally beautiful Ziria is the second highest mountain in the Peloponnesus and the favourite destination of mountain climbers, hikers and tourists. It consists of Mediterranean highlands with spiny bushes, steep cliffs, sycamore and coniferous forests, a great flora with over a hundred species some of which reside in the mountain.
A great network of paths exists some of which lead either to the Flabouritsa valley, a unique biotope protected by the NATURA network, either to the 3 local lakes -each one with its own history or the mountain's summit where the breathtaking view spans from mountain Taygetus to mountain Olympus. Trekkers can also have a rest in one of the 3 organised lodges in the area. Hermes' Cave from on of the shelters, a path leads to Hermes' cave that stands out for its numerous chambers full of colourful stalactites. | ANCIENT NEMEA |
The town of Nemea lies 20km SW of Corinthus amongst countless vineyards to which it owes its reputation for its fine wine. According to the Greek mythology, one of Hercules' feats was to kill the fearsome lion of Nemea as well as to confront the fowl of Stymfalia the nearby lake bearing the same name.
The area of the ancient city with its very important excavations is a sight not to be missed. Surrounded by green vineyards, in the archaeological area you can admire the temple of zeus (4th b.c.), the stadium where the local games were held, the baths and the ruins of other important buildings of the times. Finally you can take a tour in the site's museum where important artifacts from recent excavations are on display. |

| THE ANCIENT CITY |
At a distance of 18km NW of Corinthus, Sikyon has been the center of arts in the ancient times. In the same manner Athens was for philosophy. Two of the greatest sculptors that significantly influenced the art of sculpting were born here. But the contribution of Sikyon to arts is much greater. It is not widely known that the ancient tragedy was born here, in the early 7th century b.c.
